Worship @ Praise

What Worship @ Praise is all about.

Together, we build creative platforms for people to experience Jesus and take their next step with Him.

Who we are

Worship @ Praise is a team of musicians and production gurus who live to make God’s praise glorious like it says in Psalm 66:2. We are people who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. We have experienced His presence, and know there is nothing on earth that can satisfy our longing for Him. Worship does something to us. It isn’t just something we do. It points our hearts to Him. When we sing together, we paint a picture of the invisible Kingdom of God, a foretaste of all eternity. It helps us desire Him above all else.

What we do.

The human race was designed to be worshippers. In John 4, Jesus said the Father is seeking true worshippers. We won’t relent from pursuing true worship, and leading others to do the same. As worship leaders, we will work hard to build a creative platform for others to stand and sing; to express worship to our great Creator together as one.

Where we're headed

The goal for our team, our church, and our hearts is this: “He must become greater, I must become less” (John 3:30) L.E.S.S.

Our lives, our team, and our music will be marked by:

Love - We love and worship Jesus above everything else. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27 ESV) We are people who faithfully love and passionately worship Jesus. And we love our neighbor; our love for Jesus fills us up and spills out for those we are closest to.

Excellence - We strive to be prepared, skilled, and excellent in heart, mind, and spirit. We always ask: “Is this my best?” Excellence isnʼt perfection, but it is my best, and my best means always getting better.

The book of Exodus devotes chapters 35 through 39 to the building of the tabernacle of God. Every detail was shown careful attention and God used skilled men and women to make the place that He would inhabit beautiful. We will be excellent in heart, mind, and spirit as we lead others to worship. “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 ESV)

Sincerity - There is no room for pretending! Our worship will be authentic. Anyone can spot a fake a mile away. “Let love be genuine…” (Romans 12:9)

Sacrifice - Real worship costs us something. We’ll gladly give it up. It might be our “me” time, or maybe our ego, or maybe our $$, or our favorite music store licks. Christ paid the greatest sacrifice for our sin. We’ll spare no amount of effort and will gladly give of ourselves. “No, but I will buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing.” (2 Samuel 24:24)

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
